✅ Accepted Items:
- Clean paper and cardboard (no food residue)
- Plastics #1 and #2 (like soda bottles and milk jugs)
- Aluminum and tin cans
- Glass bottles and jars
What Should You Keep Out?
❌ Not Accepted:
- Plastic bags and film
- Styrofoam containers
- Greasy pizza boxes
- Garden hoses or tanglers
- Batteries and electronics
Common Mistakes (and How to Avoid Them)
- “Wish-cycling”: Don’t toss in questionable items just because you hope they’re recyclable.
- Dirty containers: Always rinse food containers—leftover food can spoil an entire load.
- Bagged recyclables: Leave items loose in the bin.
